Experience the meditative effect of immersing yourself in 4 weeks of clay play. Hand-building is an engaging experience allowing you to learn the qualities of clay, understand how it responds to your touch and develops your creativity. What you will learn: * Explore all the techniques of hand building – pinch, coil, slabs and joins. * Learn how to hand-build with clay to make anything you can imagine, from the functional to the decorative. Create cups, bowls, wall art or the perfect little dish to hold your bedside items. * You will make up to 2 pottery pieces per session depending on the complexity of the project. Notes: * The price includes the clay, use of all the tools and bisque firing. * Please bring an apron and a towel for your personal use at the studio. * Glazing is not including in this short course. You can book a glazing session separately to glaze your pieces. Suitable for: This class is available to everyone (minimum 11 years old) and suitable for any skill level. Cancellation Policy
1. Request for cancellation or transfer: Refunds or transfers will not be processed if you cancel within 48 hours of the workshop. All cancellation requests should be sent via email to info@mitraceramichouse.com 2. Cancellation: Our workshops require at least 3 students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, you will be notified by email or text message and entitled to a full refund, transfer, or credit. Please check your email before attending the workshop. If you change your mind and you want to cancel your booking, 5% transaction fee will apply, the rest of amount will be refunded to your account. We suggest of rescheduling your booking instead of cancelling. 3. Collection dates: Your un-glazed pieces will be ready for collection 3 weeks after your workshop. If your workshop includes glazing your glazed pieces will be ready approximately 8 weeks after your workshop. It is student's responsibility to follow up with the studio by email regarding the pickup dates. 4. Storage: Due to the limited storage availability at our studio, we are able only to keep your items up to 12 weeks after your workshop. Uncollected work will be donated or repurposed. 5. Pottery breakage: In the unfortunate case where your pottery breaks or cracks in the kiln, Mitra Ceramic House do not offer refunds, as this is the nature of firing process.
